Lest we forget.
As the number of surviving veterans dwindles, it's more and more important to keep those memories alive. The Memory Project recounts Canada's participation in the Second World War, from the perspective of those who experienced it. Stories, photos, historical documents.. a very powerful collection. Check it out.

dwindles?
I think Bush has ensured that there is no dwindling. While the modern day vet may look like you and I, they are no less vets than those of wars we can barely remember. I thank whoever or whatever that my brother, younger than you or I, who has dodged bullets and been in situations that we could never imagine, is still alive today. My vet is my baby brother.
My brother in law was on the front lines in the first Gulf war, my girlfriend's brother currently serves in the US Navy and has recently experienced the war in Afghanistan.. these people are no less valuable than WWI/II vets.
This post was to bring attention to a great project that preserves first hand accounts of Canadian vets of previous wars. In no way do I wish to discount or minimize the importance of the modern day vets.
Good site, Im sure there is something similar for American vets?
