All about Dr. A.

Only halfway through my first year as a post-doc, I'm not quite as jaded as Dr J.... Yet ;) I am currently coping with making the transition from PhD student to post-grad (I still feel and LIVE like a student!) and getting settled in a new country on top of all the challenges of daily life.

What is daily life for me? Research, teaching, mentoring, studying, yoga, cycling, baking, music, thinking about tomorrow but living for today.

Things I love: learning new things about anything and everything, traveling, digging beneath the surface, sushi, photography, science, The Chicago Cubs, sustainability, Bubble Tea, Shiraz, finding stranger's shopping lists, bookcrossing, global awareness, making new things out of old things.

Things I could do without: Debt, discrimination, dating disasters, drama. Apparently anything that begins with the letter D. Although I do love dogs. And donuts.

Things I dislike for no particular reason: dinosaurs, long fingernails, space travel, robots.
